Keeping our immune system strong and healthy is always important but especially critical right now. Eating these 5 immune boosting foods will not only give your body an immune system boost, but are delicious and readily available at your local market or grocery store.

1. Bell Pepper Slices

Bell peppers have a nice crisp texture and are perfect for an afternoon snack. Not only tasty, bell peppers contain twice the amount of immune boosting Vitamin C as an orange. Dip them in guacamole or hummus for an added tasty treat!


2. Blueberries

Blueberries are one of the richest flavonoid antioxidant fruits found in nature. They are tasty and also make a nice frozen snack if you put them in your freezer. You can mix them with organic or raw pumpkin and sunflower seeds for a super immune boost!


3. Kale Chips

Kale chips contain high amounts of an important antioxidant called beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is what gives carrots their orange color and converts into Vitamin A for an extra immune boost. 4. Almonds

Organic or raw almonds are rich in Vitamin E and you can eat them by the handful. Use the palm of your hand to measure the amount you should eat. You can also use almond-butter spread on apple slices or celery for extra crunchy goodness.


5. Kiwi

These furry fruits not only taste amazing, but they are packed with healthy immune boosting nutrients such as folate, potassium and Vitamin C. A simple way to eat a kiwi is the cut-and-scoop method. Cut your kiwi in half with a knife and scoop out the fruit with a spoon.
