Fortunately for you, our Chief Wellness Officer, Pam Jacobson, has created a shopping list of her favorite healthy foods you can find on your next trip to the store.

 

Snacks & Drinks

 

Stock your home with healthy snacks and drinks. Here are some of Pam’s favorites:

 

Steve’s PaleoKrunch is gluten-free, grain-free and delicious. PaleoKrunch is handmade using high quality ingredients and free of GMOs, refined sugars and junk. 

 

 

 

Barney’s Almond Nut Butter is made from California almonds, and it is creamy, silky, texture. It is gluten-free and the perfect snack to-go. It’s great with celery or sliced apples.

Spaghetti Squash and Meatballs

 

This meal is just a few ingredients and you can eat a healthy “traditional” Italian dish.

Spaghetti Squash is a terrific alternative to pasta. It has low carbohydrates has the same texture as noodles. Ground Turkey is leaner than red meat. Avoid the unhealthy effects of red meat with ground turkey. Organic Tomato Sauce is simple and healthy. Read the label before buying your tomato sauce and check for minimal ingredients.

 

Chicken Tacos

 

 

Enjoy taco night without the unhealthy tortilla. Butter Lettuce is large enough to put all your favorite vegetables in your tacos and has a nice crisp texture just like a taco shell. Avocados are a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. They also provide lutein, beta-carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids. Tomatoes are a great source of the antioxidant lycopene, which has been linked to many health benefits, including reduced risk of heart disease and cancer. They are also a great source of vitamin C, potassium, folate, and vitamin K.
